Department of Trade & Industry (DTI), South Africa, had convened its Annual Small Business Summit from 31st July 2008 to 2nd August, 2008. The theme of the Summit was “Consolidating Partnerships and Linkages for Sustainable Small Enterprise Development”. Shri Dinesh Rai, Secretary, Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India was invited by DTI, South Africa as a special invitee to address the Summit to share Indian experience for the development of MSME sector and also to make presentation on “Indian Incubation Experience for development of MSME sector under Public-Private Partnership(PPP) Mode”. Secretary, MSME, attended the Annual Small Business Summit 2008 and also discussed various areas of cooperation in the field of development of small enterprises in South Africa. Sh. H.P. Kumar, Chairman-cum-Managing Director, NSIC also attended the Annual Small Business Summit 2008 as a member of the National Small Business Advisory Council(NSBAC) of South Africa.
